Helping Little Swimmers Build Confidence and Essential Water Skills

At Coastal Infant Aquatics, LLC, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to become more comfortable and confident in the water. Our Infant Aquatics Survival Skills program teaches age-appropriate swimming and self-rescue skills designed to help children respond more effectively if they unexpectedly enter the water.

We offer private, one-on-one lessons for children 6 months to 6 years old. Each lesson is tailored to your child's age, developmental readiness, and individual learning pace, with only the instructor and your child in the water. This personalized approach creates a calm, supportive environment where children can build skills and confidence over time.

Lesson length is based on your child's age. Children ages 6 to 18 months attend 10-minute lessons, four days a week, while children ages 2 to 6 years attend 13-minute lessons, three days a week. These short, consistent lessons are designed to help children stay engaged while reinforcing new skills through repetition and practice.

Throughout the program, children are taught to swim, roll onto their back to float, breathe, and swim again as they work toward reaching the side of the pool. Infants and toddlers develop proper body position and kicking skills, while children over one year old also learn how to hold onto the pool edge and climb out with instruction.

Our goal is to help children develop greater confidence in the water while building a strong foundation of swimming and self-rescue skills. Every child progresses at their own pace, and we celebrate each milestone along the way. While every child is different, most students complete the Swim-Float-Swim program in approximately six weeks.

Please note: No swim program can eliminate the risk of drowning. Active adult supervision is always essential whenever a child is in or around water.

Lessons are taught at an outdoor heated pool (88+ degrees)
